FAQ

Hello! We’re LatestFreeStuff – we’re expert freebie hunters who have created the largest database of freebie offers in the UK, with over 600 genuine ones listed on our website. We add 7-8 new freebies everyday, and are known for finding fantastic, exclusive freebies.

To help you start claiming your own freebies, we’ve created this quick guide. It answers all the common questions our team gets asked by our fans. Read through and you’ll be a top freebie hunter in no time!

1) How do I apply for freebies?

Browse through the website and if you see something you like, click on it and follow the instructions. This will include clicking the ‘GET FREEBIE’ button. This will usually direct you to the company who are running the free sample giveaway’s website.

To apply, you will normally just need type in a few details, like your name and address, and submit the form. However, some others may just need a code at check out or something similar. Freebies normally take 28 days to come, but it depends on the offer.

2) What kind of free stuff can I get?

There’s a huge variety of freebies available. In the past we have received free shampoo, body cream, cereal bars, tea bags, coffee samples, perfume, toothpaste samples, magazines, books, make-up and so much more. Take a look at our freebie photos and video testimonials page to see what our visitors have been getting through their letter box.

3) How can I maximise my chances of getting freebies?

If you see something you like, get in quick! Freebies often come on a first come, first serve basis, and companies often get thousands of responses. Here are some tips on how to speed up the applying process:

First of all, internet browsers can save your details to speed up form-filling, so set this up if possible as it really helps.

And finally, check your junk or spam mail folder when you need to confirm a freebie request by email, as sometimes they land in there by mistake.

Another tip is to set yourself up with at least one email address that you use just for applying for freebies. That way, you won’t get these emails or any marketing emails mixed up with your regular ones.

Secondly, make sure you’re subscribed to our e-newsletter and one or more of our other broadcasting channels so that you get alerts!

E-newsletter

Sign up to our daily newsletter here. We send this out every morning, excluding Sundays and is usually our first freebie broadcast of the day.

Facebook group

We also have a brilliant Facebook group that has nearly 150,000 members. As we send out our newsletter in the mornings, if we find a brand new, exclusive freebie, this is usually the first place you’ll find us posting it.

Facebook page

We also have our Facebook page which has 250,000 members; it’s just like our group but with less member engagement and interaction – just our freebie round-ups, posts and alerts.

Twitter

Everything that we post on Facebook, we also post on Twitter at the same time. If tweeting is your favoured method of communication, then follow us for freebies alerts and more.

4) How long will it take for my freebie to arrive?

Freebies generally take around 28 days to arrive, but be patient as sometimes it can be longer. Each freebie is sent by a different company or promoter, so the length of time will vary.

5) It’s not letting me apply for the freebie. What can I do?

There could be a few reasons why you’re not able to apply for the freebie:

The page could temporarily be down because there’s too many people trying to access it at once. If this is the case, simply try again later.

If you’re having trouble filling in a form, try accessing the offers through a private or incognito window on your internet browser.

If that’s still not working, try on another device, as occasionally the offer pages will only work on either mobile or desktop.

If that doesn’t work, then apologies – the freebie has now expired. Please let us know and we’ll take it down.

6) Why haven’t I received my freebie?

Some freebies get thousands of requests, so stock can run out really quickly. Not all freebies you apply for will arrive, but the more you apply for, the more you’re likely to receive.

If you still feel that you’re missing out on freebies, why not mix up your approach a little? There are lots of different ways to get free samples, including filling in surveys, entering competitions, signing up for product testing websites and using coupons. We feature all of these on our website.

7) Who sends the freebies?

Usually the brand of the product is the company who is sending out the freebie. Companies we’ve received freebies from include: L’Oreal, Nivea, Tesco, Cadbury, Gillette, Colgate, Olay, Dove, Fairy, Pampers, Huggies, Head & Shoulders, Simple, Oral-B, Always, Vodafone, Twinings, BBC, Redbush tea and more.

8) Why do companies give away free stuff?

One of the most popular questions – giving away free samples is a marketing strategy to attract new customers. When people try samples, if they like it then 70% of the time they will buy the product in the future. So companies give away freebies in the hope of gaining new customers.

9) Do you charge for this service?

There will NEVER be a charge for using LatestFreeStuff. We are a community website trying to help freebie hunters like you find the best free stuff. Every now and again, some of the freebies that we post do have a small postage charge, but we always state that when posting it.

10) Will I receive lots of SPAM?

Your personal details will be used by UK companies to post you freebies. With every offer, their is normally an opt-box for receiving future emails. Tick this box and you shouldn’t be contacted in the future. However, to stop your normal email address being clogging up with emails, we suggest setting up a new email address (with Gmail or Hotmail – they’re good at filtering out promotions) just for freebie offers.

If you signup for our freebie newsletter then we will never share your details with any third parties. It will only be used to send you our newsletters. Many companies require you to enter an email address in their freebie request forms.
